Yellowstone Arboretum

Description

Yellowstone Arboretum offers visitors the opportunity to view the largest collection of trees in the region. Located within the confines of ZooMontana and it’s gardens the visitor has 70 acres of beautiful landscape at their disposal. The Yellowstone Arboretum is a culmination of over 20 years of dedicated work to provide visitors with a look at both native and non-native specimens and their survival in Montana climate.

As part of the Botanical Society of ZooMontana, Yellowstone Arboretum contains almost 100 specimens ranging from Burr Oaks to the Larch to a Kentucky Coffee Tree all located along paved pathways of ZooMontana or within some of the most beautiful gardens in the region. It’s uniqueness lies in the specimen’s survival both in the micro-climates of the Zoo grounds as well as our harsh Montana winters.
