Description

The purpose of the National Botanic Garden of Georgia is to encourage the people of Georgia to value and conserve its remarkable plant diversity and use it to improve the quality of life in urban areas, agricultural land and in natural environments. It aims to be the authoritative and trusted scientific resource for plant diversity. The National Botanic Garden of Georgia holds 10,000 individual trees, which include 800 taxa. The Department of Plant Conservation maintains a collection of rare and endangered plants of Caucasus.
