Description

Multiplant International Medicinal Conservation was founded in September 2002 with a mission of forest restoration, botanical research, capacity building and awareness creation on the uses of medicinal plants and conservation of indigenous trees and herbal plants species.

Mimc undertakes and perform monthly environmental and ethnobotanical education. Mimc holds and nurtures over 30 endangered/endemic Kenyan plant species namely;

Acacia etbaica, Afrocarpus falcatus, Afrocarpus usambarensis, Afrocanthium keniense, Balanites wilsoniana, Cistanche tubulosa, Cynometra greenwayi, Cynometra sp.1, Craibia zimmermannii, Diospyros shimbaensis, Macaranga conglomerate,  Millettia oblata, Dasylepis Integra, Lettowianthus stellatus, Premna maxima, Memecylon buxoides, Memecylon teitense, Ocotea kenyensis, Olea woodiana, Polyscias stuhlmannii, Coffea fadenii, Kalanchoe ndotoensis, Sorindeia calantha, Uvaria faulknerae, Warburgia stuhlmannii, Encephalartos tegulaneus, Erythrina sacleuxii, Euclea natalensis.
