The Historic Linthicum Walks Arboretum preserves and continues a unique tree collection on this park that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Maryland Historic Trust.  In addition to the arboretum Linthicum Walks historical site contains a 19th-century frame dwelling (part of which may be 18th century), a mid-19th century meathouse, a family cemetery dating to the mid 19th century and an arboretum.  A highlight of the arboretum is how the front lawn of historic home is framed by a towering Cryptomeria and a majestic Blue Atlas Cedar.

The Historic Linthicum Walks Arboretum maintains and extends a historical vision of previous owners, serves as the highlight of natural park setting, and supports education for the community and nearby schools.  The arboretum supports a  mission including:
• Historical continuity of the arboretum continues the plans of previous owners. Research on Linthicum Walks for the application to the National Register of Historical Places noted “Imported trees were planted earlier in the [20th] century due to the horticultural interest of a former owner.”
