The arboretum is part of an energy-water-food retrofit project for a low-income elderly residence. 26 kW solar panels and a reflective Cool Roof reduce utility bills, while 20,000 gallons of rainwater harvesting tanks irrigate 51 organic fruit trees that provide a healthy food source.
