Columbia Gardens Cemetery

Description

Columbia Gardens Cemetery is home to many varieties of native oak trees and a magnificent Cedar of Lebanon. Columbia Gardens has many different native shrub species, plus a renowned rose garden originally designed in 1967 that continues to thrive today with more than 200 rose bushes.  It is home to a wide variety of wildlife and recently established a blue bird trail. Throughout the year, Columbia Gardens hosts community events with seasonal, nature and historical activities for children and adults. In achieving their accreditation as a Level I Arboreta, volunteer members of the Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria, Virginia, played an instrumental role, identifying 71 tree species.
