Bishop Gadsden is an Episcopal Retirement Community located on historic James Island in The Lowcountry of South Carolina.  The lowcountry maritime forest that encompasses and envelopes the site has been the backdrop of much of America's early history. From awe inspiring Live Oaks, to towering Short Leaf Pines, to swaying Sabal Palmettos; Bisghop Gadsden's site gives a full view of species contained in our stunning maritime forest ecosystem.
